Our biltong is made with quality assured, aged beef purchased from a local supplier. We use only hand-cut silverside and never use scraps, imported or low quality meat. We ensure that we source only British, traceable and quality assured meat giving us a tender, flavourful raw product even before we start to make the biltong. Our meat is from a local supplier that carries the Quality Standard Mark . This means that all meat is produced to a higher standard than required by law, with a fully assured end-to-end supply chain that is independently inspected at every stage from farm to meat counter.
All whole spices, purchased locally & freshly prepared for each individual batch, are ground & blended by ourselves to a traditional, family recipe. This results in a tender, medium wet biltong, pink in the centre, with medium to low fat content and flavoured with coriander, salt & black pepper while still allowing the meaty flavour of the biltong to shine through.
Biltong is a fresh product, so we'll send it to you in a paper bag. For this bag size, the biltong can be sent to you in sticks or sliced.
For best results, store in a cool, dry environment and consume within 3 days of purchasing (if it lasts that long!).
